Ark Data Centres is proud to announce that it has been accredited with a coveted Silver Investors In People (IIP) Award.
“We are 100 percent committed to the people within our business,” commented Huw Owen, Chief Executive Officer, Ark Data Centres. “As a company, we always aspire for excellence – both for our customers and within our own organisation. Having decided to seek recognition from Investors in People, we were not after just being accredited, we wanted better and are delighted to have been granted Silver on our first attempt. Never complacent, our next stop is – GOLD!”
The IIP Standard is a respected stamp of quality worldwide, recognising what the best businesses are made of, with a Standard that sets them apart. It is defined and set by business leaders and is a series of 39 must-haves that organisations measure up against to find and realise the potential of their people. Covering everything from business planning and leadership to management effectiveness and performance measurement, the Standard offers outcomes to work towards. A benchmark for best practice, the Standard recognises a company’s commitment to developing its people and demonstrates its ambition, drive and focus to the rest of the world.
“There is no doubt that Ark is amongst one of the most vibrant and exciting companies in the UK to work for right now,” said Dorothy Shrivell, Investors in People Specialist, “and this was echoed by all those staff and partners I met with during this assessment. This company has many outstanding people practices.”
For many organisations, meeting the Investors in People Standard is just the beginning. Bronze, Silver and Gold levels encourage organisations to reach higher and achieve more. They set rigorous requirements to live up to, which showcase and celebrate outstanding people management. In addition to the Framework’s 39 evidence requirements which must be met to achieve a Standard accreditation, Ark Data Centres demonstrated best practice by meeting an additional 76 evidence requirements to attain the higher level of award.
