Data centre pioneer dons a giant moustache to raise money for men’s health charity, Movember by Ark Data Centres, 7th November 2014

Proving that data centres are not boring, Ark Data Centres has erected a giant moustache (“Mo”) at its site in Hampshire, in support of men’s health charity Movember.

Designed to support awareness for men’s health issues, the Mo will also raise money via Ark’s social media feeds. The Company will post a picture of the giant Mo to its Twitter, LinkedIn and blog pages and donate £1 for each of the first 1,000 re-tweets or shares during November 2014.

“Who said that data centres are boring?” asked Huw Owen, CEO of Ark Data Centres. “We’ve been making them technologically and financially sexy since 2005, and with the giant Mo on site, they have never looked so fine. We have always prided ourselves on being a breath of fresh air to the industry and behaved in accordance with Mo Bro ethics – conducting ourselves like true gentlemen and of course, never faking it. Movember will be no exception for us.”

Owen concludes, “We’ll be taking the opportunity this month to have some fun and raise money for this very worthy cause. Look out for us on the Teams Leaderboard – we’re aiming for the number one slot, where we belong.”
