Ark CEO supports Byte Night 2013 by Ark Data Centres, 30th September 2013

HUW Owen, CEO of Ark Data Centres, and “The Data Center Sleepers Team” will sleep outside in London for Byte Night 2013.

Huw will be joined by Arun Shenoy of ABB, Zahl Limuwala of Romonet, Peter Hannaford from Datacenterpeople Ltd and Dan Scarborough of Datacenter Dynamics, on the 4th October when they sleep outside in Potters Field, London in support of Byte Night 2013 – the IT industry’s annual sleep out which raises funds and awareness for Action for Children.

Each year hundreds of individuals and teams from across the technology and business community spend a night exposed to the elements in a bid to raise sponsorship and awareness of Action for Children’s work to help prevent youth homelessness. Action for Children helps to prevent youth homelessness through early intervention by ensuring that young people across the UK are given the support they need before it’s too late.

Byte Night has raised over £5.2 million since the event began 15 years ago. This will be the 16th year and they aim to raise another £1 million.

Huw says, “I am happy to help such a worthwhile cause, and do so with the support of a great team. Not sure if there will be much sleep, but I’m sure it will be an interesting night. Byte Night is a fantastic example of what can happen when great people come together.”

Thanks to your support, Action for Children can help thousands more young people to build better lives by providing essential support, accommodation, education and training.
