Pan Government Accreditor Awards Ark Data Centres a CESG Shared Service Assurance Certificate by Ark Data Centres, 23rd April 2015

Ark Data Centres Limited announced today that the Pan Government Accreditor (PGA) has issued Ark with a CESG Shared Service Assurance Certificate on behalf of the Head of Office Government Information Risk Owner for their data centre services. This allows all customers, both commercial and public sector to use assured, scalable and flexible data centre hosting services.

Steven Dunsmuir, Director at Hex Security Limited, said: “We are delighted to have helped Ark successfully obtain both its PGA certificate and Cyber Essentials certifications. Ark continues to demonstrate its ongoing commitment to the secure operation of its data centres and this latest PGA award reinforces the security confidence being provided to their customers. Hex has an excellent relationship with Ark and we are excited about helping them achieve further accreditation and assurance successes in the future.”

Mark Brown, Head of Security at Ark Data Centres, added: “Hex assisted Ark in the production of all the risk and technical threat documentation for our enterprise IT system. Whilst companies don’t usually produce Risk Management and Accreditation Documents Sets (RMADS) unless they are processing Protectively Marked information or data,we used the RMADS to demonstrate to the PGA that we take our information assurance and IT security seriously.”

Ark provides additional security assurances through independent UKAS certifications to ISO27001 (Information Security Management System), ISO22301 (Business Continuity Management System), the Government-backed Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus Schemes as well as being PCI – DSS compliant.
